Welcome to The York

A bit about us… Since 2010, we have been serving up high-quality food and top-notch drinks to the locals of Broomhill. Originally a blacksmith’s, our beautiful venue was built in 1830 and is the very definition of cosy. The beer garden is a suntrap and the ideal spot for a pint with your four-legged friends. We love dogs in the bar area, too!

Our excellent team of chefs combine traditional British recipes with modern innovation to create outstanding seasonal menus. From our famous pies to our renowned gastronomy, we pride ourselves on a locally sourced menu, brought to you in a delicious and exciting way. 

We always welcome families with children and we have highchairs, colouring pencils and baby changing facilities available on request. 

The bar boasts an expertly crafted list of classic cocktails, alongside rows of boutique spirits, and a range of local guest ales and craft beers.

The York is the perfect place for a mid-week pit stop or a special celebration at the weekend. If you’re holding a really big soiree, you can even take over the whole place and make it all yours.
